I bought this as the next generation of the Rhythm, which I had for a few years before the battery began to take a hit. Initially, it worked well. However, I noticed that my HR would drop out on my Garmin head unit periodically. I contacted support at Schosche as well as at Garmin. Both manufacturers blamed each other. However, the support from Scosche seemed promising at first.
Initially, they stated that the engineers were aware and were working on a software patch. He asked me to do some rides, collect some logs, and report back. I did the rides and collected the logs. I tried to send them in, but I never heard back. I have done several updates to my Garmin. However, after over a year now, there have been no updates and I never heard ANYTHING back from Scosche.
I can’t log more than 5 minutes at a time whether in ANT+ or Bluetooth. I tried using it again today as my back up needed a charge. When I got back, I had lost over half of my ride and saw that the Rhythm was actually off. Turned it back on, connected to the app, and the battery was 100%. This condition happens on mine and the one I bought for my wife.
I see that the price has dropped on these to less than half of what I originally paid. That should be an indication that they are well aware of the issues. They should offer to exchange these for a model they know works and stop selling them. This was definitely a wake up to never buy another Scosche product again. I can understand issues and was willing to work with them to get it corrected. But, when support ghosts you, it is time to move on.

Esta banda es la unica de las otras dos que he tenido de la misma marca que no tiene desconecciones y ademas es mucho mas precisa.

Great product, reliable and stable readings everytime.
Long battery life.

I like the simplicity of the Scosche Rhythm R+2.0 heart rate monitor and the fact that it sits on your arm instead of your chest. I found that the readings were accurate and it functioned as expected.
However, the downside is that the native app for this specific model isn’t compatible, so Scosche support directed me to download Strava or Wahoo to record and connect with Apple Health and other apps. Despite this minor inconvenience, it’s a great and inexpensive HRM overall.

I bought this monitor due to frustrations with my Apple Watch hooking up with my Peloton Bike+. The Scosche Rhythm R+2.0 immediately hooks up with my Peloton and gives me the current battery status right away… very helpful. It recharges thru a USB… but I’ve been running more than a week.. (daily rides) and still have plenty of power. The monitor straps on my forearm and is basically forgotten when riding. Highly recommend… you won’t be disappointed.

I wanted an armband monitor mainly because I consistently forget to put my chest monitor on before my cycling base layer and bib straps. I then have to strip half way down just to put on my chest strap. Silly, I know, but happened often enough that I tried the switch.
Pros:
– Easy to put on regardless of how clothed you are
– More comfortable than a chest HRM, especially when wearing a pack
– Tracking (when it stays connected) is on par with my chest HRM
Cons:
– Often drops connection with my Garmin Edge 530. It regularly stops displaying the HR info on my screen and will pick up a few seconds, to minutes, later. It dropped 13 times on a 64-mile ride recently and records exactly 72bpm to the .fit file when it drops. The downward spikes on my graph are apparent because I’m often keeping my HR in the 140-180 range.
– Similar to dropped connections, I’ve had to remove it and re-add it to my Garmin several times for it to be recognized before I start a ride. I’ve never had to do this mid-ride so I’m not sure if they’re related.
– You have to manually turn it on and off—and remember to do so every time. I just snap my chest HRM on, it connects to my device(s), I do my thing, snap it off, and throw it in my bag for next time. I repeatedly forgot to turn the Scosche on before a workout and then off again when I was done. This lead to missed initial tracking and a dead battery for my next workout. I eventually got into a routine, and it was just another thing to check off my list, but the chest HR is foolproof in comparison.
– Battery life is poor. I knew this would be different from my chest monitor but didn’t think it’d be a big deal. And really, it’s not a huge deal, but you have to remember to throw it on the charger frequently. While I can get a few short weekday rides out of it before thinking of charging it again, my weekend rides often last hours and I regularly get a low battery alert on my Garmin. This happened recently on a 7-hour ride and it started warning me around hour 6. This is after a full charge. My chest HRM battery lasts for months and all I need to carry is a small CR2032 as a backup—not a big bulky case.
– Strap is fiddly. Once the strap is connected, it’s solid, but will pop off at the slightest angle or twist. I believe this to be the intended design but I’ve often popped both sides off while trying to put it on or take it off—separating the monitor from the band. In comparison to the snaps on my chest HRM, the clasps feel cheap and don’t provide a satisfying snap into the monitor. I often double-check that it’s secure.
I really wanted to like this but it’s not for me. My cons might seem trivial but they’re not something I’m willing to deal with. My chest HRM is dead simple, never need to worry about it connecting to my devices, or worry about charging it—it just works. Maybe it’s a Garmin ecosystem thing. However, it was also spotty with my Concept2 rower and iPad (TrainerRoad) so maybe not. Regardless the issue(s), I’m sticking with chest HRM.

I was fairly happy with it until I picked it up just now and it won’t turn on! All I’m seeing is a blue dot on the face but the flashing green and red lights on the back are not working. When I charged it all I see is the blue light which usually indicates that it is fully charged! Then why won’t it turn on?
I bought this in mid May’24, it’s now late June ‘24.

In canada we don’t have a access to order scosche HRM products so I opted to purchase this one from Amazon. Took only 3 days for delivery. The seller I’d great and responsive with any question. The heart rate monitor works great, battery lasts a while and it’s easy to use.

Mucho más preciso que la banda de Garmin o la de Polar, muy fácil de usar y muy cómodo.
Totalmente recomendable

Sadly, by bike computer doesn’t connect to my Apple Watch in realtime to display my heart rate. For that, I picked up one of these inexpensive arm HRMs. It fits comfortably and snugly on my upper arm (and, in fact, I’ve forgotten I’m wearing it on a couple of occasions after returning from my ride). It connects quite easily to my bike computer and gives me a constant readout of my heart rate. The stretchy nylon band is sweat resistant and adjustable and would probably fit anyone from a very thin arm to that of a gorilla. A charger cable is included and connects to a standard USB-A puck. The indicator light is discreet and lets you know when the HRM is on, looking for a connection or connected. Pretty simple and foolproof.

Product exactly as described. It was easy to connect to my peloton Bike and worked just as expected. Have used it dozen times for 40+ minutes plus and it hasnt needed to be recharged yet. Extremely satisfied

Excellent HR monitor in terms of simplicity, reliability of connection and battery life. Well worth the very reasonable price too!
