  1. KREL

I have purchased other running belts in the past that always seem to bounce or stretch over time. This one is perfect and stays put!

  2. Zuk..

Nice belt, fits perfectly while running. Great for carrying small things outdoors. Thanks!

  3. Fernando A

    Très pratique.

The first time I tried this on I thought there was no way I’d get used to running with it but now I use it for every outdoor run if I need to bring my keys or phone. It’s also handy for bringing gels and/or water but I don’t think it will hold normal water bottles well. The matching bottles fit nicely, I ended up getting the 11oz one. I barely notice it once I get moving and if it’s too loose I just flip it once or twice. I haven’t had any issues with the material on my skin and I’ve got fairly sensitive skin. The furthest I’ve run with it in one run so far is about 8 miles and I’ve done maybe 50 miles in it total so far. I might get a second one just so it’s easier to have a clean one when I need it. It’s a bit pricey but I prefer it over the backpack style running vest I used to use and I think the vest was more.

Going pandemic crazy, I needed to get out and exercise (safely.)

I started doing what I call “City Hikes”… I live downtown in one of the larger oldest cities in the country, and the main streets have inclines and declines with uneven sidewalks that can be somewhat challenging for a somewhat older person. A 3+mile hilly walk in under an hour can be an ok cardio exercise.

I like to carry a lot: my smartphone with the MapMyWalk app on it, which both records and reports to my headset throughout my “city hike”: my varying rates of speed, the degrees of elevation, my heart rate as well as distance covered and my speed right at that moment.
Being a very cautious person – I carry with me all my critical keys including my car key, a major credit card, ATM card, garage pass, Driver’s License and some hidden folded cash.
I also carry 2 spare paper masks, 2 pairs of nitrile plastic exam gloves and several sealed SONO hospital-grade equipment wipes.
I also carry my glasses and a water bottle I can drink from, particularly in this heat.

But not only is that a lot to carry but downtown in an old major metropolitan area is not always the safest place – at least not in my neighborhood. Thefts occur even during the day.

After quite a bit of research, scouring Amazon’s site and trying a few items, I came up with a combo of items that make carrying all this effortless and as if I weren’t carrying them at all, feeling as safe as possible and able to just focus on my “hike.”

I put in the items listed below (except my phone) in the various pockets of the FlipBelt Level Terrain Zipper Edition https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CH0CXQO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I was between sizes and found the larger one more comfortable – and though it slipped a bit, not by very much, tighter was not as comfortable.

WRT my phone, Sinjimoru Phone Grip Credit Card Holder with Phone Stand ( I chose the silicone version), works perfectly on my Samsung Note 9 in an Ottebox Symmetry Case. Though the product pictures primarily show just using a couple of fingers to hold the phone – it actually stretches enough that I can put my whole hand through, holding the phone in my open hand so I can look at the phone face to see the map or whatever other info I want to at a glance while I am speed-walking, without fearing I may drop the phone, no matter how I might shake it.
Now, I am female and with relatively small hands for 5’3″ but there is still a lot more stretch room left for a larger hand — but the material stays very snug around my hand, without cutting off any circulation.

As an extra precaution, I use the Sinjimoru Phone Grip in combination with “SHANSHUI Phone Lanyard, Neck Strap and Wrist Tether Key Chain Holder Universal for Phone Case Anchor” https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083158CBJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 using the wrist band lanyard. The Shanshui Lanyard is amazing; I can dangle the phone by the lanyard and it stays attached. (There is no adhesive in this product, yet with the right cell phone case, it seems amazingly safe.)

I prefer to put the credit cards, Driver’s License, cash, etc in the zippered pocket of the FlipBelt rather than in the cardholder of the Phone Grip, tho I am sure the cards and cash would be safe in the Phone Grip. I just feel it is much less likely that a thief would be able to steal the Flipbelt off me in broad Daylight than perhaps in a fly-by action – cutting the lanyard *and* pulling the phone and phone grip off my hand at the same time while running by – tho I sincerely doubt the latter could happen with any feasibility.

And finally, for my water, I use FlipBelt’s Water Bottles https://www.amazon.com/FlipBelt-Water-Bottle-11-Ounce/dp/B01ESTP0J4/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1F6AFSLLBJBL7&dchild=1&keywords=flipbelt+running+belt+with+water+bottle&qid=1594441055&sprefix=Water+Bottles+flipb%2Caps%2C186&sr=8-3 , either the 11 oz or 6 oz, though I prefer the 11 oz in this heat. I fill them half full with my bottled water and freeze them. When I take one out for my “city hike”, I fill it up with my chilled bottled water from the fridge. The bottle fits snugly and very stably – because of the curve – in the FlipBelt pocket – easy to pull out and put back in. And in this heat, the ice helps keep me slightly cooler – but honestly, the ice is all melted and the water almost normal temperature by the end of my walk.

I am soaking wet at the end from sweat; so is my Flipbelt – but everything else – in my FlipBelt or my hand – is absolutely safe and dry.

And I walk with all the speed and flourish I want because I feel like I am carrying nothing the whole while… free as a bird 🙂
    I hope this helps!

I’ve been holding my phone on runs for years. Tried an arm band, too bulky. This running belt is exactly what I needed. I first bought the original band (no zipper) in large based on measurements. It fit but I wanted it snugger on my low waist and added peace of mind of the zipper. This belt is perfect. It fits wide like my favorite yoga pants, fits perfectly over my shorts, zero bounce of anything in the belt, slimming, not bulky, has extra non zipper areas for other things (key, hotel card, ID) this is my new running staple and I can’t believe it took me so many years to find it

I like the belt although it will not hold a bottle of water. I ordered the bottle that is supposed to come with it so we will see. It is a nice belt and doesn’t let stuff move around. But the bottle thing kind of sucks. I lost my water bottle in the the first 50 feet. I switched it to the other side same thing. It would have been nice to put more than one zipper on there.

I wear this on my bike to stow phone and a snack. It’s dry comfortable and the zipper keeps my phone secure. It is warm so I got a mesh one “air” flip belt for hot days. The air one is a tiny bit too big so my phone falls out. I still have to resolve that issue.

There’s a reason why most runners use this belt. The quality is phenomenal, you won’t need to buy another belt, it will last you a long time. I had an interaction with the companies customers service and they went above and beyond to get my situation sorted out. Nothing but good things to say, highly recommended.

This is the second FlipBelt Zipper Running Belt I’ve purchased – and they do not disappoint. They’re comfortable (for walking/running) and durable. The pockets hold my smart phone, keys, doggie bags, earbuds, and even a thin leash – very roomy. Love the colors, too – helps me be more visible during nighttime walks/runs.

  12. Trey

I got pointed at this in a marathon prep class by a fellow attendee. Mainly because I’m getting into long runs and need to carry water and energy gels/chews with me.

    And it works!

It’s comfortable, much more so than other things I tried in the past. The zipper pouch is about perfect for holding an ID, emergency contacts, cash and cards. It has 2 pouches that you can put a specialized bottle in and where you can put the gels.

Now, it works for carrying water. It’s easy to get the bottle out. Getting the gels or chews out is a bit of a challenge, especially on the move.

The key ring holder needs a slightly longer cord maybe 3-4″ longer than it is now. Possibly putting it in the zipper pouch.

Last, there isn’t a spot to put your phone and see the display. Minor thing and really solved by adding a cheap phone holster.

Still, 4 out of 5 stars. It works well and needs a little bit of supplementation.

I purchased this belt so I could have my phone for photos and locating my family when running the Boston Marathon. It comfortably held 6-8 gels and an I phone 13 pro without sagging, bouncing or riding up. I only adjusted it twice over the course of the race as I used the gels. On daily runs it safely holds my keys and earbud case without issue. It washes well and has enough stretch to comfortably fit a range of body types/weights. I purchased the Small as a 118 pound female.
