Ich habe die Schuhe für meinen Freund zum Joggen gekauft. Er liebt sie und trägt sie jetzt nur noch…er sagt man läuft wie auf Wolken.

I’m a little over 200 lbs and while many of the ShoeTubers say the Ghost Max are too firm, they actually strike just the right balance of soft and supportive for me as a somewhat heavier runner. I do a lot of walking and some running, mostly easy runs, 25+ miles per week. I have mild plantar fasciitis. I’ve recently gone through Revel 7 and Ghost 15. Currently on Glycerin 20. Glycerin almost feel too soft, which seems to make it a little harder to run in. Pretty big heel cushion on those too. Almost too much.
Today, I laced up the Ghost Max and went out for a test run. I was just going for a little break-in and launched into a full on 5k because the shoes just wanted to run! WOW! These shoes do everything right for me. Excellent fit. Excellent cushion. Excellent mild rocker. I even feel like the foam is giving me a little energy back with each step! I land somewhere between heel and midfoot and my shoes tend to wear out more toward the midfoot. Shoes are a very personal thing, so take all the reviews with salt. 🙂 But, I LOVE these shoes! LOVE LOVE LOVE
I just hope the Ghost Max II isn’t a step backwards with the Glycerin style foam. And note to ShoeTubers: please try to keep in mind that not every runner in your audience is built like you are and little extra weight can really change how shoes feel and perform. 🙂

Last year nursing student, purchased these shoes after being recommended to me from my precepting nurse and I absolutely love them. First off, the slim design and the breathable material is amazing. You can feel the breeze in between your toes as you walk. The soles of the shoes aren’t as soft as hokas or asics, so you still have a sense of durability and stability as you walk. The soles also absorb a lot of the force from your steps. The insoles naturally support your arch if you have flat feet. Given how soft the insoles are, my feet still feel amazing after 12 hour shifts on my feet. Couldn’t have gotten a better pair of shoes!

I am loyal to brooks Ghost 15/16 and ordered the max because of the great price. I am a cardiac cath lab RN and am on my feet up to 14 hours per day. These shoes have so much cushion that my feet never hurt! The only thing I have had to get used to is the heel will rock when you shift your weight backwards. After almost falling I now know my back leaning limits lol. Highly recommend!

These shoes were made for walking (put the music to it). Very comfortable walking shoes and the firm cushion just adds more comfort. I would suggest a better quality lace that would pull tight easier and,; a tighter knit fabric that would still breathe but would be a little warmer in cold weather. With the thicker cushion comes a little less stability which is a consideration for the elderly walker like myself. Love the shoe and hope it doesn’t change too quickly.

I’ve been running all my life without any issues until about 5 years when I ruptured my achilles. Lots of PT, a bunch of visits to a podatrist and some rest time and I was back on the roads and trails but always with a bit of lingering pain in my soleus and achilles. At the suggestion of PT, I tried a whole bunch of shoes and liked the Brooks Ghost 12’s the best and then I gradually upgraded up the line as new shoes came out. And the pain was always there – not too bad, but not great. Maybe a 3 on the pain scale doctor’s do from 1-10. I run about 15-20 miles a week and swap out shoes every 9 months or so.
When it came time to buy the latest pair, I was traveling and so I bought them on Amazon instead of my local running store and I saw a mention of the Ghost Max and I read through the description. I saw that it mentioned that it helped with running pain, they weren’t much heavier or much more expensive so I tried them. When I tried them on for the first time I noticed it right away – I mean literally after the first mile – that there was less pain. And it’s been like that since. I’m now about 30 miles in on these – after a less less than 3 weeks and it’s really a huge difference. I am now a convert – enough to write a review as well as deciding that these new shoes are going to be my go-to favorites now.
