  1. Why Did I Buy This?

BIGGERFIVE Smart Watch for Kids, 1.8″ Fitness Tracker Watch Puzzle Game with/Without APP – NylonBlue

My brand name fitness tracker died, and I’m asking for a new one for Christmas (because I earn rewards at work when that specific brand tracks my fitness metrics).

But I can’t go 3 months without a fitness tracker, so I decided to get this to tide me over.

I really like the way I put this on the charger and that the band is nylon and holds closed with velcro. In the past I’ve used magnetic bands to get the type of fit I have with this, and this is better.

The watch is a nice size and has enough functions, but at least the sleep tracker is waaaaayyyy off. It says I slept 12 hours each of the past 2 nights. It considered time I was laying in bed watching TV and listening to audio books as sleep – even though I was awake – my brand name tracker could tell the difference.

I’m not certain how accurate the steps/miles are calculated. But if you’re good with tracking increasing or decreasing activity – rather than specific steps/miles – this works fine.

When I pulled down from the top of the screen, I discovered the 9 features below (some not even mentioned in the item description):
    1. A do not disturb mode.
    2. Brightness adjustment
    3. View watch by twisting wrist vs. pushing button
    4. Flashlight mode – with 2 bright nesses and flashing mode. The brighter one was about the same brightness as a nightlight.
    5. Water removal mode.
    6. Watch settings
    7. Alarm clock
    8. Battery saver mode
    9. Games – Many people have commented they were unimpressed with the games. But I actually like them. It was hard to find them at first (pull down from top of watch), but they make me think.

As an adult, I probably will upgrade to a brand name fitness watch again, but I’m happy with this for now – and think it would be perfect for any kid.

My son really likes this watch, he is a big fan of the wristband (it’s adjustable and doesn’t use the traditional buckle-type band).

The instructions are vague, I ended up asking on here how to access some of the features on the watch, but customer service is very responsive. You can scroll through a few screens, and press the side button to then access more options.

You can use with or without the app, I prefer the app so I can turn off the games, volume, and keep do not disturb on, this wasly my son can have this watch at school and camp, otherwise it would be “banned” as an electronic.

I love the ability to set multiple alarms, I have them set to only vibrate, and you don’t need to acknowledge them or press anything to turn them off, so they work well as just quick reminders for things such as using the bathroom, medication, bedtime, etc.

The battery life is surprisingly good!! My son loves the flashlight feature, I have the games turned on during the weekend, and he is constantly checking his sleep data and heart rate, and the battery lasts about a week between charges. The games do leave a lot to be desired, they are a bit glitchy and sometimes not responsive to touch, but that’s a minor issue as I didn’t pick this for the games aspect. I love how easy it is to control everything with the app, and the watch itself is really sturdy.

This smart watch I ordered for my granddaughter to use when she visits monthly. She has a smart phone that I can connect the watch to using Bluetooth and the app provided in the instructions.

The initial set up of child’s age, weight, height, day, and time were extremely easy. No instructions needed. Much easier than my Fitbit.

The app download and Bluetooth pairing was easy as well. Many of the features are similar to that of my older Fitbit except it has a sleep monitor and blood oxygenation detection that my smart watch does not have. Operating instructions for these features are found on the app’s user guide.

Overall, the watch is useful with many adult watch features. The soft watchband is perfect for the child with an easy-to-use Velcro watchband. It is made well and a good value for the cost.

My son is 11 with additional needs and has just shown interest in a watch (has had before but never worn them). This strap is soft and comfortable for him and with the velcro/magnet he can manage it all himself. He has loved wearing it and choosing his own watch face (of which there are a multitude of options). It only comes off at bath time!

I think I didn’t pay enough attention to the listing, so this is on me, but this watch does not have any sort of connectivity that would allow tracking/GPS or Internet connection. It can connect via Bluetooth to a parent’s phone for updating, changing the watch face and settings. It’s essentially a watch-slash-pedometer. My daughter LOVES it and has barely taken it off since we received it. She loves checking the time, tracking her steps, and fiddling around with the games. (None of which work very well but that’s not super important.) It was very easy to set times for the games to be off in the app, so she can’t access them during school hours. The screen is large, about the size of the largest Apple watch, and the band is sturdy Velcro, easy for her to get on and off (she’s 8.) As far as I can tell, the band is permanent and can’t be switched out. Charging is easy and the charger attaches magnetically, so kids can easily do it themselves.
All in all, we think the price is fine for the quality and that most kids would enjoy using this!

Great watch and amazing customer services

My son is 10 and really wants a smart phone. We’re not going to give him one for a while, but this watch was a nice compromise. It has a few small games built-in (we’ve had to set some expectations for playing them when it isn’t “screen time”), can tell time, has an alarm, etc. You can certainly use it without an app or connection to a smart phone, which is perfect. The battery life is fine, and it comes with a charger. Overall, a great choice for a 10 year old. 5 stars.

My 11 yr old Loves this watch. She has been using the sleep tracker and had been making observations about her sleep patterns. So fun!
